This year some 45 to 50 vendors showcased at the annual Beach, Boogie, and Barbeque festival. They sold food, arts and crafts, and held fundraisers for nonprofit organizations.
Among them, Cathy Hatch. She's been selling her handmade jewelry at festivals all throughout South Carolina for the past year. This is her first time at the Beach, Boogie, and Barbeque fest.
"We've been rocking out to the music all weekend, my jewelry customers are standing here dancing just like I am!," she said.
Cathy says festivals make up about 70% of her sales. The other 30% comes from her online store.
The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce expects more than 15,000 people to have come through Grand Park during Labor day weekend.
"If you talk to any of these vendors they'll tell you they're here to make money, and how do they make money? By the attendance levels that you're going to generate. We've heard a lot of compliments this weekend, I think our numbers have grown for the festival which means we've got happy vendors," Aimee Lee, Festival Organizer for the Chamber said.
