The Horry County Coroner's Office says Jeffrey Bennett, 29, died of head trauma at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center Sunday after a motorcycle crash.
Highway Patrol says Bennett was going north on Airport Road about 12:45 p.m. when he ran off the road and hit a tree.
Coroner Darris Fowler says Bennett was an active-duty Marine. He does not believe he was wearing a helmet.
