South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators arrested Roosevelt Scott, 71, of Nesmith Thursday.

They charged him with one count of Operating without a retail license.

Scott owns Scott's BBQ. The Department of Revenue says he was arrested after he continued to operate and conduct business and retail sales after the business license was revoked in June 2010.

If convicted, Scott could face up to 30 days in jail and/or $200 in fines.

Williamsburg County Sheriff's Department assisted with the arrest.
