Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a motorcyclist Tuesday afternoon.

HORRY COUNTY -- Crews are working a deadly accident involving a motorcycle on Highway 501 at Forestbrook Road in Horry County.
It happened just before 4:00 p.m. Only the motorcycle was involved in the accident.
We have a crew on the scene, and we are waiting for official information from Highway Patrol.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler says all he can release right now is that the victim is a white male.

Updated: Deadly 501 accident kills motorcyclist
SC Highway troopers say one man was killed when the Honda motorcycle he was driving crashed on Highway 501 at Forestbrook Road in Horry County.
It happened just before 4:00 p.m. Highway Patrol the man was heading North on Highway 501 when he hit the shoulder. The man was killed at the scene and was not wearing a helmet.
High Patrol says only the motorcycle was involved in the accident.
