Around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, a car slammed into the Dollar General on Cloverleaf Drive off Highway 9 in the northeastern section of Horry County.

South Carolina Highway Patrol spokesman Sonny Collins says an older gentleman accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake in his minivan and crashed into the front of the store.

The man was not hurt.

The front windows of the store are broken, but the store remains open.

No charges will be filed.
