(AP) -- COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Activists are calling on South Carolina legislators to end a waiting list for HIV and AIDS medications.
The South Carolina HIV/AIDS Care Crisis Task Force is holding a rally Wednesday at the Statehouse in Columbia.
Organizers want legislators to commit more state dollars to funding the program that provides the medications.
As of December, there were nearly 300 people on South Carolina's waiting list for AIDS Drug Assistance Programs.
