(AP) -- Dozens of prized antiques, paintings, ceramic pieces and jewelry from Charleston are going to New York City.
The Post and Courier of Charleston reports that 70 pieces from the Lowcountry go on exhibit next week at the 57th Winter Antiques Show.
Organizers say it's the first time in 17 years the show's featured collection comes from the South. And it's the first time the exhibit comes from several institutions.
The exhibit features pieces from the collections of the Historic Charleston Foundation, Middleton Place Foundation, Drayton Hall, the Charleston Museum and the Gibbes Museum of Art.
The show opens next Friday at the Park Avenue Armory in New York and runs through Jan. 30th.
