A Georgia woman will spend more than a decade behind bars for a hit and run that left a Conway woman paralyzed.

Officials say Kathrine Michelle Johnson pled guilty to assault and battery with intent to kill and three counts of leaving the scene of an accident with great bodily injury.

Last November, Johnson snatched a 73-year-old woman's purse at the K-Mart on Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.

After the snatching, Johnson hit three people with her car before leaving the parking lot.

Brenda Williams of Conway was paralyzed from her injuries when she tried to get the purse back. You can read more of her story here.

Wednesday, A judge sentenced Johnson to 12 1/2 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
