Horry County doesn't have a policy to deal with county employees using cell phones while driving, but County Councilman Al Allen wants county staff to work on one.

Allen says talking and texting while driving are safety concerns. He wants to require the use of a hands-free device for voice calls and a ban on texting.

County staff is expected to come up with a recommendation for the public safety committee's December meeting.
