Tropical Storm Richard has formed in the Caribbean becoming the 17th named storm of the 2010 Hurricane Season.

USAF Hurricane Hunters flying through the system have determined that T.D. #19 has strengthened and become
better organized over the past 24 hours.

Conditions seem favorable for a slow intensification over the next few days with the potential of reaching
hurricane strength.

Over the next few days, Richard will slowly head West ward toward the Yucatan Peninsula as it is steered by high pressure
entering the Eastern Gulf of Mexico.

Check out the Tropical Update page for the latest thinking on Tropical Storm Richard and a look at the future track.
