Sunday morning, the U.S. Coast Guard rescued seven people 25 miles off the coast of Charleston.
The group's powerboat began sinking after the engine compartment flooded. Officials say they all abandoned ship wearing life-jackets and they were clinging to a cooler.
The search lasted six hours after the initial call for help. All seven survivors were taken to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston for evaluation.
