Surfers were enjoying the rare surf conditions all over the Grand Strand Thursday.
We caught up with a few near 64th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach who said even for them, the waves were a little rough.
"The currents are pretty bad. You get in and like five minutes later, you're down three avenues," said surfer Evan Hord.
Myrtle Beach police say they haven't had any more rescues than normal.
Most beaches are allowing people to go in the water waist deep.
In some areas, lifeguards have stopped people from going into the water all together.
The good news - or bad news, depending on whether you're a surfer -- the waves will die down, especially as we head into the Labor Day Weekend.
