Firefighters say they were able to put the fire with limited damage to the apartment and little to no damage to surrounding apartments.
Myrtle Beach firefighters responded to a fire at 3:35 Wednesday afternoon at Westwind Apartments off Pridgen Road.
They found a fire in the laundry area of a second floor apartment.
Firefighters say they were able to put the fire with limited damage to the apartment and little to no damage to surrounding apartments.
No one was hurt. The apartment was not occupied at the time. But the person who lives in the apartment is displaced.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
