Myrtle Beach Police hold traffic safety checkpoint

Myrtle Beach Police held a traffic safety checkpoint Thursday on South Ocean Boulevard starting at 2:00 p.m.

Police checked 451 vehicles during the checkpoint. They issued 25 citations and one warning.

They arrested one person and towed two vehicles.

Of the of the 25 citations issued, nine were for Driver's License Violations, five for Registration Violations, four for Equipment Violations, and seven for Insurance Violations.
