A report in The State newspaper lists ten banks that are under watch by various federal regulators.
One Grand Strand bank is on that list, Plantation Federal Bank in Pawleys Island.
The bank is being watched by the Office of Thrift Supervision. A supervisory agreement was issued against the bank by that regulator nearly one year ago.
It was one week ago that federal regulators shut down Beach First in Myrtle Beach. It's been acquired by the Bank of North Carolina.
