North Myrtle Beach, S.C. - Hootie & the Blowfish Monday After the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Golf Tournament organizers announced that NFL Hall of famer Dan Marino and actor Tom Berenger will be attending this year's event to be held on Monday at The Dye Club at Barefoot Resort & Golf in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Marino is known as one of the finest quarterbacks in National Football League history. He owns numerous league passing records and is most remembered for throwing what was then a record 48 touchdown passes in 1984 for the Miami Dolphins. That record was broken in 2007 by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Presently, Marino is a member of the star-studded cast of the NFL Today on CBS Sports each Sunday during the NFL season. His NFL Today colleague, Boomer Esiason, is also scheduled to appear at this year's pro-am which will be his first visit to the tournament, and will also be hosting his New York-based morning radio show, "Boomer & Carton" on WFAN-AM from the Dye Club on Monday. In 1996, Marino and several other athletes appeared in a music video with Hootie & The Blowfish for the song, "Only Wanna Be With You."
Berenger is a veteran Hollywood actor whose credits include more than 50 feature films including The Big Chill (1983), Platoon (1986), Major League (1989) and the sequel Major League II (1994). Most recently, Berenger appeared in the movie Breaking Point with Busta Rhymes and Armand Assante. Berenger resides in Beaufort, S.C.

"With tickets nearing a sell out, we encourage everyone who wants to attend the tournament to get their tickets now. The stars will be out and the weather is expected to be perfect."

Other celebrities and athletes participating in the event include "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, NASCAR drivers Kyle Petty and Michael Waltrip, and NFL Hall-of Famer and Chicago Bears great Gale Sayers.
