Darlington County deputies arrested a man they say led them on a six-hour manhunt.

Captain Andy Locklear, with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, says the man stabbed two people during an early morning home invasion. Officers responded to the call around 4:00 a.m. on Geechie Drive.

Robert Brandon Cassidy, 36, of Hartsville faces charges of Burglary 1st degree & 2 counts of assault & battery with intent to kill.

Both victims are hospitalized with multiple stab wounds. They're expected to recover.

Audrey Childers, spokesperson for the Darlington County School District said the following schools were locked down during the search: Hartsville Middle School, Southside Early Childhood Center, and W. Hartsville Elementary School

Childers said the lockdowns were lifted at all three schools before their normal dismissal times.
