The Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments is updating the Grand Strand Area Transportation Study 2035 Long Range Transportation plan.

The plan lays out what is necessary to meet the area's multi-modal transportation needs, including highway, bridge, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian needs.

Over the next 12 months, the LRTP (Long Range Transportation Plan) will be developed by coordinating with local residents and agencies to ensure our transportation system provides safe and efficient mobility throughout the Grand Strand.

Further information about the GSATS 2035 LRTP can be accessed here. ( www.gsats.org )

Local residents are encouraged to attend one of the following meetings to assist in the development of the plan:

Myrtle Beach Train Depot

851 Broadway

Myrtle Beach, SC 29578

5:00pm to 7:00pm

Tuesday, February 23rd

A visual preference survey will be conducted at 5:30 and 6:30. The public will also be invited to participate in a Transportation Survey.
