The proposed piggyback landfill in Horry County is a step closer to reality.
Tuesday night, the Solid Waste Authority passed a list of 30 recommendations for the landfill.
The Authority and an outside advisory group have met for months and tried to find common ground on things like height, appearance, and traffic.
The two sides agreed on most things, except the height which could max out at 250 feet.
Now, the recommendations will go to County Council.
Construction of the landfill is still several years away.
