SC State Representative Alan Clemmons from Horry County will not run for the 1st District Congressional seat currently held by Henry Brown, who is retiring.
There was speculation the republican would run for the seat, but Clemmons tells NewsChannel 15's Tim McGinnis he plans on seeking another term in the State House.
Clemmons was first elected to the state house in 2003.
