Tanker removal causes delay on I-95

South Carolina Highway Patrol has announced a temporary traffic detour for I-95 in Clarendon County.

The State DOT is in the process of setting up a detour route until an overturned tanker can be removed from I-95 that was involved in a collision last week.

The detour route is as followed if you are traveling I 95 South take the 132 exit left onto SC 527 this will take you East to US 301 South Take a right turn to US 521 North stay US 521 until you reach I 95.

It will take several hours to remove the tanker.

Another message will be sent when DOT advises that the road is reopened.
