Tonight Horry County Council members will choose a new county administrator, but just hours before the vote, one of the candidates has dropped out.
Terry Stewart, the former city manager in Cape Coral, Florida took himself out of the running today according to Horry County Public Information Officer Lisa Bourcier.
The two remaining candidates are John Weaver, the Horry County Attorney, and Duncan Ballantyne, the former county administrator in Martin County, Florida.
The council meeting starts at 6:00pm. The vote is scheduled to be taken at the end of the meeting.

Tuesday night Horry County Council members will choose a new county administrator.
Members interviewed the three finalists on Monday. The finalists are: John Weaver, the Horry County Attorney, Terry Stewart, the former city manager in Cape Coral, Florida, and Duncan Ballantyne, the former county administrator in Martin County, Florida.
The council meeting starts at 6:00pm. The vote is scheduled to be taken at the end of the meeting.
