NewsChannel 15 has learned a 16-year-old Marlboro County High School student has been charged in connection with calling in a bomb threat to the school.

Police evacuated the building for a few hours as bomb-sniffing dogs searched the facility last Thursday. They didn't find any devices.

Police say they traced the call back to a 16-year-old girl's cell phone. She's charged with conveying false information regarding an attempted use of a destructive device. Her name has not been released because she is a juvenile.

Officers believe there is another person involved.

The 16-year-old girl remains in police custody.
