The Road to Recovery Tour is at the Marion County One Stop Workforce Center to educate people about jobs that still exist at the Savannah River Site through the Recovery Act.

The tour will be at the workforce center at 1305 N. Main Street in Marion from 10:00am to 3:30pm Friday.

The Road to Recovery is sponsored by the US Department of Energy. Those who attend will get information on job training , and employment assistance programs.

Participants can also learn tips on interviewing skills, resume building and securing free email accounts for job searches via the internet.

The Savannah River Site was constructed during the early 1950s to produce the basic materials used in the fabrication of nuclear weapons, primarily tritium and plutonium-239, in support of our nation's defense programs.
