(AP) -- MCENTIRE JOINT NATIONAL GUARD BASE, S.C. (AP) - Special demonstrations and flyovers are part of an open house scheduled for the South Carolina Air and Army National Guard.
The McEntire Joint National Guard Base near Eastover in Central South Carolina will have jump demonstrations by the Army's elite Golden Knights parachute team, a fighter jet demonstration by F-16 combat jets and flyovers with AH-64 Apache attack helicopters.
National Guard officials say more than 100 items of military equipment from the past and the present will be on display.
The exposition will wrap up with a joint air and ground combat exercise highlighting the capabilities of the active duty, Reserve and Guard members.
Admission is free and gates are open Saturday and Sunday starting at 9 a.m.
