The Department of Environmental Control just released numbers for confirmed cases of swine flu for South Carolina.

In our area:

  • Horry County reported another four H1N1 cases with a total of 32 confirmed cases
  • Florence County had two more cases and has had 12
  • Marlboro County had another two cases reported last week bringing the total there to seven
  • Georgetown County has one additional case bringing the total to three
  • Williamsburg County also had another case and has had two confirmed cases
  • Darlington County remained at two confirmed cases
  • Marion County has one confirmed case
  • Dillon County has had no confirmed cases

Last week in the state an additional 32 cases were reported bringing South Carolina to 491 confirmed cases.

It's important to point out that these numbers may not represent the total number of H1N1 cases in the state - some go unreported or undiagnosed.
