This week, students are registering for school in Florence School District One.

Wednesday morning, dozens of parents and students filled the cafeteria at Delmae Elementary School.

The principal says she expects more than 800 students this year.

It's hard to believe summer's over, but that's good news for some parents and students.

"He's ready to get out of the house cause I make him clean up all day. He's ready to get back to school," said Monty Sansbury, a parent.

"I'm very excited because that's eight hours a day without my brothers," said Katherine Lewis, a student.

More than 15,000 students are enrolled in Florence School District One.

Teachers start back on August 10th and students return August 17th.
