Statistics suggest one in three women will be sexually assaulted during her lifetime. In fact, a woman is sexually assaulted every two and a half minutes in the United States.
It can be a tough subject to talk about, and recovery can be difficult.
But there is help.
A candlelight vigil held at Chapin Park in Myrtle Beach Tuesday night was all about breaking the silence.
The Clothesline Project was also at the park Tuesday, each t-shirt there telling the story of someone who's been assaulted.
