NBSC Bank robbed in Murrells Inlet

SURVEILLANCE IMAGE RELEASED

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the community's help identifying a suspect wanted in the robbery of the NBSC bank at 3796 Highway 17 in Murrells Inlet.

The bank was robbed Monday around 2:30 p.m.

Police say the suspect demanded money from an employee and then left through the back door with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He took off on foot in a westward direction, but was witnessed leaving the scene in a 4-door bright blue compact hatchback.

No one was injured during the incident and no weapon was used.

Anyone that can identify the suspect or has information about the robbery is asked to call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5101.
