As Christmas approaches, there are many families in need within our area, and one local business is trying to change that.
Randall Ulrikson owns The Common Spot coffee shop in Market Common in Myrtle Beach.
Ulrikson says he gets true joy out of serving coffee.
"There is nothing better than a smile when you give them a good cup of coffee," said Ulrikson.
This year Ulrikson is trying to create smiles in a different way.
"We have had an angel tree we put up on November 16th," said Ulrikson.
The Common Spot teamed up with a church to identify children in need. He's looking to make Christmas happen for 110 children in our area. They still need 60 angels picked off their tree.
"There's a lot more need than we will ever see and the point is we got to open our eyes up and locate those needs," said Ulrikson.

Donations for the children need to be returned by December 19th.
