Yesterday's rain maker has pushed away from the Carolinas today and has taken the rain along with it. Lingering high clouds will bring filtered sunshine to the area at times, but a pleasantly dry afternoon is in store for us. High pressure will slide overhead tonight clearing out the skies and dropping the temperatures down into the mid and upper 30s by daybreak Friday. Our next cold front approaches Friday afternoon. Ahead of the front conditions will be dry and warmer with temps maxing in the low to mid 60s. Friday night the front will pass by dry. Behind it, an initial shot of cool air will settle in for Saturday.Runners in the Myrtle Beach Marathon will have a chilly start to the race with temps starting in the upper 30s at race time. A secondary dry cold front will come through Saturday night with a reinforcing shot of colder air that will be felt Sunday.
