DILLON COUNTY -- The Dillon County coroner says the body of Maurice Williams, 34, was found near a wrecked motorcycle about 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Dillon County deputies were in the area searching for Williams when they got a call saying the man's family and friends found his body on Baker's Mill Road in the Carolina community.
Williams was last seen Sunday evening on a motorcycle in the Carolina community.
Deputies say his family reported him missing after he didn't show up for work Monday morning.
Highway patrol says Williams ran off the left side of the road and down an embankment about 9 p.m. Sunday. Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet.
