Unsettled weather remains in the forecast as a cold front to our West approaches and our area remains in a very tropical atmosphere. The chance for rain, coming in heavy at times, and very muggy conditions are expected again. With slower moving or training storms, rainfall amounts can exceed 2 inches locally over a short time. This will increase the risk for localized flooding and ponding on roadways. Avoid flooded roads and find an alternate route. You can track the rain and storms with us on First Alert Live Doppler 1500. The front will slowly push through tomorrow keeping the chance for a few showers/storms around through the afternoon. Once the front is off of the coast, a ridge of high pressure is expected to move in and remain in control across the East heading into the weekend leaving us with dry weather, lower humidity levels and more sunshine. The tropics look quiet but you can always keep up with the latest on the tropics on the Hurricane Central page.
