Low pressure will slowly push away from the Carolinas and high pressure will move in over the next few days. A tight pressure gradient between the two will keep very windy conditions around the area today. Look for sustained winds 15 - 25mph with gusts near 40mph possible through the afternoon. A wind advisory has been issued for the area and is in effect until 6pm. The winds will diminish a bit overnight, but it will remain breezy through Thursday. Temps will struggle to reach the mid 50s this afternoon and then drop into the low to mid 30s overnight. As high pressure pushes into the East by the end of the week, sunny skies will remain around and temps will be on a gradual rise. Temps will warm into the 60s area wide by the weekend and will last into early next week. We are void of rain chances until late Monday and Tuesday when our next system approaches. You can always track our rain on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app
