Troopers tried to pull over a driver for speeding about noon Friday when he jumped out of the car and into the woods.
They looked for him in the area of Red Bluff Road and Sandpiper Road.
But the search didn't last long. Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins says troopers know who the man is, so they called off the search and will seek warrants for his arrest.
