Murrells Inlet, SC - Georgetown County Sheriff's Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying those responsible for a home invasion at a residence in the Murrells Inlet Community of Georgetown County.

At approximately 9:01 p.m. last night, Georgetown County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a residence on Hammock Avenue where two males wearing dark blue or black masks, dark hoodies and dark pants, forced their way into the victim's home.

Deputies say they were armed with what appeared to be a handgun.

The two suspects entered the residence through the back door and demanded money from the victim. When the victim advised she didn't have any money, the suspects exited through the back door. No one was injured in the incident.

The suspects fled into the woods behind the residence. The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office Bloodhound Tracking Team responded on scene, but didn't find the men.

Sheriff's deputies canvassed the area in an attempt to locate the suspects or witnesses. During the canvass, sheriff's deputies were unable to find anyone who witnessed the crime.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5102.
