South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly two-car crash on Highway 917 in Dillon County.

Floyd "Buddy" Altman, 59, was killed in the wreck. Altman was a paramedic for Dillon County EMS, according to Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley.

Altman was driving a 1990 Chevy pickup truck, heading south on the highway, when he crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Toyota Rav-4 heading northbound, according to Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Toyota and her passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
