SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Law enforcement officers from North and South Carolina are scheduled to be in Spartanburg this week for training on K9 techniques.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office and jail officials are teaming up to host the 4th Annual K9 Deployment Seminar. The two-day event starts Thursday, and more than 20 teams are expected.
Organizers hope the course will give K9 teams a chance to share training strategies and do some live-action problem solving.
The training is taking place at various sites throughout Spartanburg County.
