A 42-year-old man from Florence was killed in an overnight wreck.

Luther Lee Williams was hit by a car around midnight on National Cemetery Road in Florence, according to Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken.

Williams fell into the west bound lanes, according to Major Carlos Raines with the Florence Police Department

A pizza delivery driver heading east bound didn't see Williams and hit him with his truck.

Williams was taken to the hospital where he died of multiple blunt force trauma at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Florence police officers are still investigating, and believe the incident was an accident.

They say no charges are being filed at this time.
