Laurinburg police charged Adophus Leon Jackson Jr, 33, for a shooting on December 29.

Officers responded to Carver Street after a victim had been shot.

When officers arrived, they found James Lucas, 29, lying on the door step of one of the apartments.

Lucas was taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte. He's since been released.

Police found Jackson Friday and charged him with Attempted Murder, Assault by Pointing a Gun, and Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana.

Jackson was placed in the Scotland County Jail with a bond of $80,000.
