Georgetown police are investigating a home invasion and armed robbery that happened around 11:00 am Monday on Church Street.

Two men, one armed with a gun and the other armed with a box cutter, showed up at a woman's door and forced their way in when she opened it.

She said they demanded money.

The woman told police she refused their demands, the men forced her into a bedroom and cut her on her back until she told them where the money was.

Only vague descriptions of the men were provided because they were wearing black hoodies and masks.

The woman was treated at a hospital and released.

If you have any information on this case, contact the Georgetown Police Department at 843-545-4300 or call the TIP line at 843-545-4400.
