Horry County police detectives have taken a 16-year-old North Myrtle Beach High School student into custody following a bomb threat at the school Monday.

No device was found inside the school.

The student will be charged with Conveying False Information regarding the Use of a Destructive Device, according to Sgt. Robert Kegler with Horry County police.

Kegler said the student left a threatening note in a bathroom.

The students name will not be released due to his age.
