3 SC people score big in Powerball jackpot

Alex Heaton joined WPDE in June of 2012 as the Good Morning Carolinas producer. She is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina.

According to the South Carolina Education Lottery Commission, 140,435 winning tickets were sold in South Carolina.

Three players in the Palmetto State won $1,000,000, 11 won $10,00 and thousands more are the winners of smaller prizes.

The winning numbers of the richest Powerball jackpot in history are 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 and Powerball of 6.
