Thursday evening the U.S. Coast Guard, Horry County Police, and North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue responded to an overturned boat off the coast just south of Apache Pier. By 11:30 p.m. Cpl. Justin Wyatt with Horry County Beach Patrol says the two people in the overturned boat made it to shore and are in good condition. They were treated and released on the scene.

About midway through the search a Coast Guard helicopter had to leave the scene because someone was pointing green lasers at the aircraft. Horry County Police arrested a suspect.

There's no word yet on what caused the boat to overturn.
