Another round of scattered storms will be around the area today bringing in a good chance of rain, especially East of I-95. Slow moving storms will create localized flooding concerns and ponding on the roads. Strong storms with intense lightning will possible and isolated severe storms can't be ruled out. You can track the storms on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app! Typical July heat will settle in for a few days before a little more heat returns by the end of the week. Temperatures will start each day in the low/mid 70s and warm quickly into the upper 80s to low/mid 90s though the end of the week.

A few weak waves out in the Atlantic show little potetial for further development. One wave a few hundred miles off of the African coast has a 20% chance for development over the next 2 day. You can always keep up with the latest on the tropics on the Hurricane Central page.

Today: Partly sunny and humid. Scattered, slow moving storms possible with heavy rainfall and intense lightning. Highs- Grand Strand:Upper 80s, Inland: Low 90s.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, mild, and muggy. Few showers/storms possible. Lows: Low/Mid 70s.
