High pressure off of the East Coast will supply a very warm flow into the Carolinas today and tomorrow. This will keep temps in the upper 70s to mid 80s. A weak cold front will approach the area late Tuesday bringing in a few more clouds and a slight chance for storms in the afternoon and evening. The best chance will be in the Pee Dee and Borderbelt areas with a few strong or isolated severe storms can't be ruled out. The primary threats would be damaging winds and hail. The front will slowly move through and an area of low pressure will also for along the front. This will keep the chance for a few showers and storms for Wednesday along with a slight cool down. Behind the system, high pressure will build in briefly for Thursday. This ridge of high pressure will bring our temps back into the mid/upper 70s and even lower 80s Thursday and Friday.
