For weeks, we couldn't buy a drop of rain. Now, we get it on a regular basis.

Yet another shot of soaking rain will move through the area Saturday with the heaviest rain expected in the morning. As we move through the afternoon, widespread rain will become more scattered inland while continuing near the coast.

During the evening and overnight hours, the rain will finally push out to sea with gradually clearing skies. Between Friday night and Saturday night, many areas will pick up 1" - 2" of rain. Typically with this much rain, spread out over time, flooding is not an issue.

Sunday may start with clouds, but sunshine will return and no rain is expected.

Enjoy it while you can. Yet another soaking rain is headed our way Monday afternoon and continues through Monday night. An additional inch of rain is possible.

Skies clear Tuesday and the middle and latter part of next week look dry and quite cool.
