An area of low pressure along the Gulf Coast in the morning will move into the Carolinas late this afternoon and evening. Ahead of the system, rain will overspread the area from the midday and increase through the evening. Rainfall totals will range from 1-3 inches when all is said and done as the rain tapers off after midnight. As the low retreats, winds will be kicking up and sticking around through Friday. Gusts will be over 30mph at times. Temps will still reach the low 60s with a little more sunshine at times. High pressure will return for the weekend bringing plenty of sunshine and seasonable conditions. High temps will hit the mid/upper 50s.
