After a little break from the unseasonably hot weather, today will be a scorcher. An excessive heat warning will be in effect until 5pm with the heat index(or feels like temperature) ranging from 105° to 114° for several hours this afternoon. High temps will hit the mid 90s by the Beaches and to near 100° Inland. Take necessary precautions to stay cool and hydrated, keep an eye on your neighbors, and make sure you pets have a way to stay cool and hydrated as well! A stray storm can't be ruled out, but most locations will remain dry. There is a chance for a strong storms as well. You can track the storms on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app! Tomorrow will continue to see the dangerous heat with only a few afternoon storms. A cold front moving toward the Southeast will slowly push through over the weekend. Look for temps to be down a few degrees, but still hot and humid, and a slight increase of a few storms will be possible. The intense heat we have been seeing will relax a bit all thanks to this front by early next week.
