 Typical July weather remains in the forecast over the next 3 days with a chance for widely scattered showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Slow moving storms will create localized flooding concerns and ponding on the roads. Strong storms with intense lightning will possible along. Isolated severe storms can't be ruled out. You can track the storms on First Alert Live Doppler 15000 or if you have an iPhone or Android make sure you download or app! Temperatures will start each day in the low/mid 70s and warm quickly into the upper 80s to low/mid 90s though the end of the week.

A cold front will approach the Southeast by the end of the week. This will increase the chance for scattered rain and storms throughout the weekend, while temps will stay in the mid/upper 80s.

The tropics still remain quiet. You can always keep up with the latest on the tropics on the Hurricane Central page. The next Hurricane Week townhall meeting will be held Wednesday night at St. Michael Catholic Church. Doors open at 7pm and the meeting will begin at 7:30pm.

Today: Partly sunny and humid. Scattered storms possible,especially Inland, with heavy rainfall and intense lightning. Highs- Grand Strand:Upper 80s, Inland: Low/Mid 90s.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, mild, and muggy. Isolated shower possible. Lows: Low/Mid 70s.

Tuesday: Partly sunny and humid. Scattered afternoon storms, especially Inland. Highs- Grand Strand:Around 90°, Inland: Low/Mid 90s.
